Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is getting a new prequel story DLC in February

'A Criminal Past' recounts Adam Jensen's early exploits.

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal announced A Criminal Past, a brand-new story expansion for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided set to release next month.

A Criminal Past recounts Adam Jensen's first mission as a TF29 operative.

"Jensen is transferred deep into a hostile, high-security prison for augmented felons," per the developer's description. "His mission: track down and retrieve sensitive information from a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Success will help the fight against terror around the world, but Jensen will need to confront a darker side to his role before the day is done."

New characters will make their debut in the expanding Deus Ex universe, as will Delara Auzenne, an "old acquaintance" of Jensen's.

A Criminal Past releases on February 23.
