Overwatch Holiday Event Now Live, Includes New Costumes and Brawl

There's no place like Overwatch for the Holidays...

Overwatch is getting into the Holiday spirit with all-new themed content.

Blizzard unveiled the event today, and with it comes the usual string of content seen in previous holiday events, including new costumes and cosmetic items, decorated levels, and a new Brawl.

Some of the costumes include Tracer in an Elf costume, Tjorborn appropriately dressed as Santa, Mei in a festive coat, and Zenyatta as the Nutcracker. All cosmetic items unlocked in the new (present-themed) loot boxes will be permanently owned by the player and can be used throughout the year.

Mei’s Snow Brawl is a new 6v6 single-elimination brawl mode in which players use Mei’s endothermic blaster to fire snowballs at each other. One hit is one kill, and players will have to find snow piles scattered around the map to refuel their ammunition supply.

This event will run until January 2, so don’t delay if you’ve been eyeing any of the new costumes or want to get into a virtual snowball fight with friends.

Overwatch isn’t the only game celebrating the Holidays, either; check out our guide to games with special Christmas and Holiday events just in time for this year’s festivities.
