Nintendo will show new gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at the Game Awards

Host Geoff Keighley also posted new artwork from the next Zelda, due for release sometime in 2017.

Nintendo of America announced via tweet that new gameplay footage from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be shown during Thursday's The Video Game Awards.

Host Geoff Keighley shared images teasing the video: a rune that resembles the Eye of Truth magnifying glass-type item from Ocarina of Time; and a promotional image done up in Breath of the Wild's font.

While many suggested that Breath of the Wild would be a launch game for the Switch next March, recent rumors indicate that it's been pushed back to the summer. But all's well, because Nintendo might tide fans over with a brand-new Mario game for the Switch at launch.
