Overwatch PTR servers hit with long queues, timeouts, and disconnects

The addition of Sombra has crippled Blizzard's servers.

Players are having trouble connecting and staying connected to Overwatch's public test region (PTR) in the wake of the announcement that Sombra, the game's latest entry to its roster of playable characters, is available prior to full release.

Blizzard is aware of the issues and published a statement on Battle.net. "Hey folks, we're aware of a large queue for the PTR. We're working on increasing our caps where possible. Additionally we're investigating the timeouts and disconnects that occur after waiting through the queue."
