Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the Alliance king, Varian Wrynn, and Ragnaros the Firelord will be the latest characters being added to Heroes of the Storm, as well as a new map and an opportunity to earn in-game loot in both Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch.

Varian Wrynn served as the leader of the Alliance faction in World of Warcraft, that is until the Legion expansion was released. After World of Warcraft: Legion, Wyrnn sort of died. Even though he's met his maker, he'll be magically transported to Heroes of the Storm where he'll serve as the game's first multi-class hero as he can be played in multiple ways, although he's categorized as a melee warrior

Ragnaros the Firelord is a melee assassin that comes from deep within the Sulfuron Keep in the Firelands. Players will be able to harness his volcanic wrath as he'll call down flaming meteors, summon lava waves, and use the explosive might of Sulfuras to dominate his opponents.

In addition to announcing two new Heroes, the Blackheart's Revenge map was also announced. The map will have our Heroes fighting alongside Captain Blackheart yet again as his ghost ship takes to the high seas on a mission to blow the docks away. Players will need to fight to collect Cannonballs for Captain Blackheart to use, although he'll need your protection once he begins his attack.

Lastly, Blizzard is launching its biggest giveaway for Heroes of the Storm. Starting on November 15 and ending on January 4, players will be given the opportunity to unlock a number of in-game loot for both Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch. Players who complete 15 Heroes games in Ranked, Unranked Draft, Quick Match, or Co-op vs. A.I. will unlock the Oni Genji skin, spray, and player icon in Overwatch, as well as the Zarya and Oni Genji portrait in HotS. Completing 30 matches will reward players with more Heroes, the new Orochi Hovercycle mount, and a 30-day Stimpack.
