PlayStation 4 gets pro controllers from Razer and Nacon for Holiday 2016

PlayStation 4 pro gamers rejoice!

Sony has announced two officially licensed controllers geared towards professional gamers: the Razer Raiju and Nacon Revolution.

Sony invited both Razer and Nacon to use their knowledge and expertise in developing a wide variety of eSports peripherals in order to design two unique pro controllers for the PlayStation 4. Through these partnerships, Sony was able to incorporate innovative DualShock 4 controls, which it hopes its customers can enjoy a plug & play experience when used with any model of the PS4.

First up is the Razer Raiju, which if you squint hard enough, kind of looks like what the DualShock 4 would look like if it merged with the Xbox One Elite Controller. The Raiju features advanced controller customization and ergonomics, which includes two additional bumpers, two extra detachable triggers, a built-in control panel, custom profiles that can be switched on the fly, a 3.5mm headphone jack with dedicated headset volume and mic mute controls, and detachable analog stick rubber caps.

The Necon Revolution is certainly more unique looking as it features 46° amplitude dual analog sticks, four extra shortcut buttons, an eight-way directional pad, four custom profiles, two internal compartments with six additional weights to help tailor the balance and feel to the player’s specifications.

Both the Razer Raiju and Nacon Revolution are expected to release this holiday season, although no pricing for either controller was given at the time of publication.

Nope. Most "pro" controllers are wired. God forbid they lose millions of dollars because of lag.

I've wanted something like this to happen, but neither of these are as immediately convincing as the xbox elite controller. I'm looking forward to more news on these.

Just buy a XIM4 and use the Elite through it. You jerk.

I thought it only did mouse + KB. I'm now extra tempted to grab one of these even though they're pricey. PS4 pad is so meh, even if it's an improvement on the PS3.

Nice, I really dig the Necon Revolution, it looks ACE.

I love the ps4 controller as it is. I went back to play some PS 3 and it feels very flimsy and the sticks are loose by comparison.

My only gripe is the triggers love to fast forward video when I set them down. That should just be unbound for menu stuff imo
