BioWare released Jade Empire on the App Store earlier this week (via VG247). The company's martial arts-themed RPG debuted on Microsoft's original Xbox console in 2008, and received widespread acclaim from critics. You can grab it on iOS systems for $9.99.

Jade Empire blends real-time combat with moral choices and magical abilities that players cast using their innate Chi force. "Experience a unique combination of fast paced martial arts action with a gripping, character driven story set in a mythical land," per the App Store description.

"Each decision builds your reputation, changing the course of interactions with other characters and followers. Take the role of a master of martial arts, and recruit followers to your cause in an interactive, living world."

If you've played Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic but haven't tried Jade Empire, elements of the game should feel familiar: The KOTOR engine and select game systems—namely dialogue, quests, and certain pieces of gameplay—formed Jade's backbone.
