The Escapists 2 announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One for 2017

Prepare to escape... AGAIN!

2

Team 17 and Mouldy Toof have announced The Escapists 2 during this weekend’s TwitchCon held in San Diego, California.

The Escapists 2 will feature a number of improvements over the original game, which generated 1.8 million in sales in 2015. The sequel will offer drop-in/drop-out multiplayer for up to four players in both co-op and versus modes, supporting split-screen and online play.

There will be new ways to escape, including the use of knotted sheets, new items to craft, a new combat system, and a brand-new graphical style. Players will also be able to tweak their avatar to a new level as there are more customization options, allowing players to play as a female prisoner among other things.

Breaking out of prison is no overnight task, which is why The Escapists 2 will offer more ways to pass the time, such as learning how to paint or joining your fellow prisoners to start up a band.

The Escapists 2 will launch in 2017 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
