Square Enix has revealed NieR: Automata will be releasing in Japan on February 2, 2017.

NieR: Automata’s release date was revealed during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference as well as a brand-new trailer, which can be viewed below.

The publisher confirmed the game would be releasing in early 2017 earlier this year, and even confirmed its PC release would be coming around the same time.

Unfortunately, Square Enix didn’t confirm whether or not the February release date would be a universal release, although we’ve reached out to the company for clarification. Considering it promised NieR: Automata would release in “early 2017”, we’re hoping this was a universal release date and not one specifically for the Japanese market.
