Battlefield 1's beta begins on Wednesday, August 31

Oddly, DICE hasn't announced an end date. Beta forever!

EA previously announced that Battlefield 1's open beta will launch on August 31, next Wednesday. However, the company hasn't revealed a firm ending date (via PlayStation Lifestyle).

"The open beta begins August 31st, but we don't have the end date just yet. Stay tuned for more beta info soon," EA wrote in response to a tweet sent from the game's official Twitter account. Czech gaming website Zing got hold of a press release from EA stating that Battlefield 1's beta will run until September 7, though EA has yet to circulate any end date widely.

Other dates remain unclear as well. Battlefield Insiders who registered for the beta before August 21 get access before next Wednesday's start date, but when early access begins has yet to be clarified.

"We don't have a date on when the codes will be sent. Keep an eye on your inbox," EA tweeted.

The beta will be open to users on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, so anyone interested in taking EA's WWI-themed shooter for a spin can do so beginning on August 31. Battlefield 1 will be released on October 21.
