Deus Ex: Mankind Divided finds Adam Jensen in a world that is completely disgusted by the idea of humans with Augments installed. But what they’re not completely against is using scrap metal to craft items, such as multi-tools or ammo packs. Crafting items can help give you an edge when you need some help either hacking into a level 5 computer, or if you completely run out of ammo for your favorite death-delivering weapon.

Our guide will cover what you’ll need in order to craft weapons and how to do so once you have all of the appropriate resources.

One Man’s Garbage

Throughout your adventure in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, you’ll come across various items, weapons, and materials just ready for the taking. While you could completely murder everyone in your path to search for loot, resources you’re going to need to craft various items can be found all over the locations Jensen will find himself in.

In our experience, we found most spare parts littered around and inside desks, lying on the ground near construction, or near various boxes. There’s really no set way to earn spare parts, so you’ll just need to keep your eyes open as you progress through the game.

Another Man’s Treasure

Now that you’ve picked up some spare parts, it’s time to start crafting! Bring up the in-game menu and navigate towards the screw icon. This is where your crafting menu is located, and it’s where you can see a list of blueprints you currently have available. The menu shows all of the items you can craft and how many pieces of spare parts it’ll take to craft. Once you’ve decided on what items you want to craft, keep in mind you won’t be able to dismantle items in order to gain your spare parts back.

You should also note spare parts can be used to improve your weapons and to create mods. If you’re using spare parts to craft ammo or something that can be purchased instead, we recommend stocking up prior to attempting any missions, especially if you’re not playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided stealthily.
