New Prey Gameplay footage shows off abilities, guns, and coffee cups

Bethesda Softworks has released a new trailer for Prey just in time for this year’s Gamescom.

The new gameplay teaser video for Prey is the first time we’re seeing actual in-game footage that isn’t bits and pieces thrown into a general teaser video. The trailer shows off some of the abilities players can expect Morgan Yu to wield, various weapons,and a his ability to morph into a cup of coffee.

No. Really.

Arkane Studios first revealed with was working on a reboot to Prey during E3 2016, which certainly surprised us. Since its reveal, we learned the new Prey will be nothing like the previous game and that there will be no direct connection between the two.

Prey is currently scheduled for a 2017 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

        Based on that video, it feels way more like System Shock 2 than Bioshock ever did.

      begs the question: Why bother calling it Prey then?
      on a side note the mimic ability totally kicks ass,
