Listing for Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition for Xbox One and PS4 leaked

The game is priced at $59.99, though no contents for the collector's bundle have been divulged.

Two listings for Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition on Xbox One and PS4 have been spotted—one on Amazon Canada, and the on Dell, of all places.

Twitter users lifelower and Wario64 were among the first to spot the leaks and provide photographic proof of their existence. Both Amazon's and Dell's listings are still live as of this writing, amid the standard releases of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain that launched on Xbox One and PS4 last year.

There are two omissions of note from both outlets. First and easily explained is a lack of contents for Metal Gear Sold 5 Definitive Edition. You'd be excused for wondering what your money gets you (the game's assortment of DLC and updates seem obvious additions) but neither Dell nor Amazon goes into specifics. That makes sense, though. Neither listing shows box art, implying that it's too early to get caught up in details that can be filled in later.

The second is that neither outlet includes PC as a platform that will receive Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition. That doesn't mean it won't happen (Konami hasn't confirmed or denied Definitive Edition's existence yet) but the base game did launch on PC alongside the console versions, so it's not unreasonable to wonder if that platform will be privy to the package deal.

Would sure be nice if this version is the finished game and included all the cut content that would have made the series finish with a bang . Unfortunately , that's a pipe dream and it'll be the same shitty unfinished , non Kojima project that launched , plus all DLC .

MGS5 was easily the worst game in the franchise . It didn't even feel like a Kojima game after the two hour intro .

Worst game in the franchise? Are you nuts? MGSV was one of the best games of 2015.

It's a fine open world stealth game. But it isn't a great MGS game.

Not for me . It was easily my least favorite game in the series . And probably my biggest disappointment in 2015 , and I'm a huge fan .

Honestly, MGS for PS was probably the first game that truly got me hooked on video games .

Not that I wasn't into them previously, it just certainly a lot more casual before that.

Most of my gamer friends would define me as a MG fanboy . Absolutely hated 5.

I think it would have been fine as a Vita title . It felt very similar to Peacewalker in mechanics .

It did not deliver what I've come to expect from a Kojima console game though .

          MGS > MGS3 > MGS PW > MGS4 > MGS2 > MGS GZ / MGS 5

So yea, worst in the franchise : or I guess the Solid series .

I haven't played MGS5 yet (only GZ) but I'm guessing the gameplay is similar to MGS:PO where you recruit people via fulton recovery?

            My list without MGS5 is:
            MGS3 > MGS > MGS PW > MGS GZ > MGS 4 > MGS PO > MGS 2 > MGS Acid

            MGS > MGS3 > MGS2 > MGSV > MGS4 > MGS PW.

I like PW for the story but the gameplay is trash.

            MGS4 is corny and overrated.

MGSV was by far my fav gameplay wise.. and Quiet is prob one of my fav chars.

Storywise, the fact that it had less mission variety than Peace Walker, it was a huge let down.. probably due to the fact it was un-finished.

I don't know man, it seemed to have a whole hell of a lot of Kojima-ness to it. He pretty much still directed that game, he just didn't get to finish it.

I was so excited for MGS5, but honestly it bored me. I'm currently replaying peace walker and
that's a game with better story telling.

Plus the whole thing about removing david hayter and replacing it him with keifer didn't
really matter, its not like snake spoke much on mgs5

Now that the trailer for SurviVe came out, maybe they're going to release a bundle of the two games?

I've had this information for a few weeks so I don't think it's really leaked or that anyone will be forced to remove it. It's only a re-release with extras anyways. I don't know what's in it either since I just have the same distributor data: title, UPC, price, release date, etc. A PC version is unlikely; the regular edition didn't get a retail version or collector's edition as far as I know, many PC games don't.
