After over a year of Steam Early Access development, Tripwire Interactive has announced Killing Floor 2 will launch globally on PC and PlayStation 4 on November 18, 2016.

If you’re unfamiliar with Killing Floor 2, the game takes place in Europe as players fight an outbreak caused by a failed Horzine Biotech experiment, which has quickly spread and gained momentum. Killing Floor 2 takes place one month after the events of the original Killing Floor, and as you can expect, tons of specimen clones are running wild and it’s up to a group of civilians and mercenaries to combat the outbreak.

Killing Floor 2 features 6-player co-op or solo play, a 12-player PvP survival game mode, a unique blend of weaponry, and an expanded perk system. You can also expect more visceral gore, both new and old Zeds to combat, and brutal melee combat.

The PC version of Killing Floor 2 will be published by Iceberg Interactive, while Deep Silver is behind publishing the PlayStation 4 version. The base version of Killing Floor 2 will retail for $29.99, while the Digital Deluxe version will retail for $39.99. Unfortunately, Tripwire doesn’t go into specifics as to what will be included in the deluxe version, although we’re sure it’ll reveal its content in the coming months.

While you wait for Killing Floor 2, be sure to check out our impressions of its numerous updates, including Return of the Patriarch and Incinerate 'N Detonate.
