Aside from Play Anywhere functionality and an Ultimate Edition, pre-ordering Gears of War 4 between now and its October 11 release date will net you the Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack.

Microsoft detailed the pack, included with all editions of the game, earlier today. "This pack pays homage to some of the most beloved characters from the Gears of War universe, and extends the tradition of offering gold weapons to day one players. New and current Gears of War 4 pre-order customers will receive three unique characters."

Those three characters are Tomorrow Anya, Old Man Marcus, and Zombie Dom. Additionally, all customers who preorder will receive "Vintage Del" as a playable character. Character details follow at the end of the story, courtesy of Microsoft.

If three extra characters for multiplayer doesn't interest you, this might: anyone who pre-orders will receive the Xbox 360 Gears of War collection, a slate of the four Gears games available on 360—that's Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and Gears of War Judgment Day.

·  “Tomorrow Anya” is named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.

·  “Old Man Marcus” features an older Marcus Fenix as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.

·  “Zombie Dom” proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.
