White Xbox One S was a limited-time offer, and Microsoft is out of stock

The special-edition console sported a white exterior and a 2TB hard drive.

According to a report on Eurogamer, Microsoft has sold through its supply of the white Xbox One sporting a 2TB hard drive, and has no plans to restock. Future models of the Xbox One S will ship with 500GB or 1TB hard drives.

Models packing smaller hard drives are due to launch on August 23.

Fear not: you can still get an Xbox One S with a 2TB hard drive if you keep your eyes peeled. Microsoft will release a red model decorated in Gears of War trimmings alongside the release of Gears of War 4 this October; the price starts at $449.

Lots of technical details have come to light since the white Xbox One S launched last week. Not only does it upscale games to 4K, it's good for things like playing music in the background, a feature users have wanted since the Xbox One launched in November 2013.
