Here's an hour of We Happy Few gameplay from its Steam Early Access

We Happy Few is now available in Early Access, so here's an hour of gameplay we captured from the game.

Compulsion Games has released We Happy Few on PC and Xbox One via each platform’s respective early access program. We’ve been keeping an eye on We Happy Few for a little over a year and even made it to our E3 2016 Game of the Show list, so we just couldn’t contain our excitement for the game when we receive a special preview code overnight.

While we work on our official preview of We Happy Few, we thought we’d capture some footage and share it in a video focusing on its gameplay. Our gameplay video shows off the game’s prologue and the part of town where it appears all of the Downers are corralled. We were able to complete a couple of side missions and interact with our fellow Downers for an hour, so feel free to watch and let us know what you think so far of We Happy Few based on our gameplay video.

lol, I like how you tried to throw the bodies out the window but they just slammed against the planks of wood.

I was definitely going a human body would break through two large wood planks. I guess I didn't throw her hard enough.

      Awesome, thanks for the vid.

So would you say get it now or wait for the final release I have been tracking it for a while and really want to play it?

Does it play a lot like BioShock?

I'd say wait a bit. Right now, all they have ready is its procedurally generated world, so there's very little in terms of story outside of the prologue.

Yes - I get a BioShock feeling when I play it, although the food, water, and sleep mechanics are new.

Huh cool man, thanks for the info/advice.

I will probably just back them and then wait for the full release.

          Thanks for the vid.
