Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have announced a special version of Rise of the Tomb Raider celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary will launch on the PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2016.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will include the base game and all previously-released DLC, an art book, a new story chapter called “Blood Ties” with PlayStation VR support, additional outfits and Expedition Cards.

Blood Ties allows players to explore Croft Manor in a new story mode, then defend it againsta zombie invasion in "Lara's Nightmare." The story mode has Lara's uncle contests ownership of Croft Manor, so it's up to Lara to explore the estate in order to find proof that she's the rightful heir.

Don’t worry, Xbox One and PC players. Square Enix will be releasing all of the new content in Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration to those platforms, aside from VR support, of course. Current Season Pass owners on Xbox One and PC will automatically receive this content for free, while PlayStation 4 owners don’t have to worry about purchasing a Season Pass as all of this content is included.

“The studio is celebrating with all Tomb Raider fans, thanking them for being on Lara’s 20 year journey with us,” said Scot Amos, co-head of studio at Crystal Dynamics. “The team has packed in surprises, new story, and the top-requested special features into this 20 Year Celebration edition.”

One of the stranger inclusions of this special edition is a classic Lara card pack that will allow fans to replay the game as five classic Lara models from her games over the years, including the original Lara model that debuted in Tomb Raider.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration debuts on PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2016.
