Oculus appears to be chugging right along as its Rift will now ship sooner and its Touch is coming later this year.

Oculus has announced it will now be able to get its Oculus Rift VR headset into the hands of consumers much quicker, now that all pre-orders have shipped out. As a result, all new Oculus Rift orders will ship within two to four business days.

In addition to improving shipping times, Oculus co-founder and CEO Brendan Iribe has also confirmed its long-awaited controllers, the Oculus Touch, will ship in volume during Q4 2016. The device was first announced a little over a year ago, and since then, Rift owners have been anticipating its release as it should bring players closer to the action than a standard Xbox One controller.

It’s good to see Oculus has caught up with production of its Rift to not only complete all of its pre-orders, but to also now be able to ship out new units in such a timely manner. Waiting a few days for your Oculus Rift isn’t as bad as having to wait weeks.

We also had the opportunity to speak with Oculus’ Nate Mitchell during E3 2016 where he talked to us about the Rift, its upcoming game lineup, and the future of virtual reality.
