E3 2016: A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV Gets A Special Side-Scroller With Preorders

If you're planning on preordering Final Fantasy XV, you're going to get a special surprise for your trouble, but only if you preorder from GameStop or EB Games in Canada.

A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV is a special side-scroller preorder bonus that'll have you moving from left to right taking on familiar Final Fantasy enemies. Starring young King Regis, players will have full motion control and can use melee, summons, magic, and even companion attacks.

There are several playable characters, including Cid, for what Square Enix is saying will be a "robust" game where there'll be all the normal fun of fighting including in the side-scroller.

The game will launch with Final Fantasy XV alongside it on September 30, so if you want to get in on it you might need to go ahead and get a preorder in even if you weren't originally planning on it. It's not been announced yet whether or not it'll be available as a standalone game at a later date.
