New Destiny patch fixes unlimited-rockets glitch

With major issues behind it, Destiny's Iron Banner issue is underway from now through next Tuesday, May 31.

Around this time last week, Bungie had to make a tough choice: ban the players responsible for exposing a glitch that let them stock up on unlimited amounts of rockets and other heavy ammunition, or delay Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner to weed out bugs.

They chose the latter, and have deployed patch 2.2.3.0 to seal up the bottomless wellspring of ammo. The patch actually hits two birds with one stone: another exploit allowed players to endlessly spam Super abilities. Bungie nipped that one in the bud, too.

Crisis averted! That means you're able to run the new Iron Banner event until next week's reset on Tuesday, May 31.

Running Iron Banner is appealing, but Destiny's got bigger cards up its sleeve, like another big expansion pack, and the inevitable sequel planned for 2017.
