Painkiller developer working on two new projects

People Can Fly, the studio behind Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and more, have revealed they're back!

People Can Fly, the studio best known for its work on Bulletstorm, the Painkiller series, and Gears of War: Judgment, is currently working on two new independent projects after Epic Games set it free last year.

One of the projects is a new AAA shooter, which has been in development since the beginning of 2016. People Can Fly CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski confirmed the game already has a publisher in place, although that can’t be revealed yet. We’ll learn more about this title next year.

As for the second project, all we know is that it’s a smaller game and more information regarding it will be revealed some time later this year.

While it's still very early to even reveal what it's working on, we can't blame People Can Fly for jumping the gun a bit with its reveals. Considering its history, we would also be antsy to talk about any new projects if we just gained our independence again.

Wouldn't it be WONDERFUL if they'd patch Games for Windows Live OUT of bulletstorm, so it would be playable again? INSTEAD OF STARTING ON SOMETHING NEW!

Bulletstorm belongs to Epic. PCF is no longer part of Epic and is probably couldn't patch Bulletstorm if they wanted to.

I believe PCF retained the bulletstorm IP when they broke away from Epic.

I played Bulletstorm about 2-3 months ago (completed Feb 9) and as far as I could tell, GFWL was working with it.

Given the gameplay of Bulletstorm and the quality of writing, maybe they are doing a sequel to Nitro Family?
