Postal Redux lets loose on Steam next week

The Postal Dude has nearly 20 years of aggression to let loose, so you better stay out of his way.

Postal Redux is releasing on Steam on May 20th, Running With Scissors has announced.

Postal Redux is an HD remaster of the original Postal, which originally released on PC nearly 20 years ago. The remake features a new level, The Carnival, which allows players to experience the thrill of killing in an amusement park filled with classic rides, like the Ferris wheel. A new “final” level will also be added, although details on that are forthcoming.

In addition to new levels, a new game mode, called Rampage, rewards a more aggressive style of play by increasing a multiplier for each consecutive kill made. At the end of each Rampage, players will receive a score and letter grade, which they’ll then be able to compete with their friends through leaderboards support on Steam.

“19 years ago, we had no clue of the impact that POSTAL would have on society and gaming history.” said Running With Scissors founder Vince Desi. “On behalf of everyone at RWS we give thanks for the many years of support.”

Postal 3 was supposed to be a thing and I heard nothing of it. Apparently it was released years ago?

It released, but then eventually they took it off steam themselves admitting it was not as good as they hoped it would be. For a while the only way you could buy it was from RWS themselves. Eventually they put it back on steam some time after they put Postal 2 up and did some updates to it.

It wasn't developed by Running With Scissors, and it was very very bad. I think they ended up taking it off the store because the game was broken, like you couldn't get past a certain point.

That's too bad - I actually played through Postal 2 without killing anyone and enjoyed the sophomoric challenge.

Hahaha. I sorta like these games. They are just so stupid and buggy.
