Uncharted 4 pays homage to former director and writer

Naughty Dog keeps it classy by giving a nod to Amy Hennig.

By all accounts, Amy Hennig's departure from Naughty Dog in 2014 wasn't amicable... or maybe it was? No one's quite sure. IGN published a report stating that Hennig was forced out of the company by studio directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, who helmed The Last of Us and shared directorial duties on Uncharted 4 after Hennig left. Later, Druckmann and Straley denied the report.

A recent revelation may help smooth any rough waters between Hennig and her former colleagues. DualShockers was the first to notice a credits page in Uncharted 4 that reads "With sincere and deep gratitude to Amy Hennig for her contributions to the Uncharted franchise."

It might be a PR move on Naughty Dog's part, but it's still a nice gesture. Not that Hennig's been hanging around her old digs waiting for a phone call. Less than a month after leaving Naughty Dog voluntarily or otherwise, Hennig was appointed creative director of Visceral Games and is hard at work on Star Wars titles.

"It's a privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to the Star Wars universe, after it's had such a formative influence on my life," she posted on Twitter following the announcement in 2014.
