We previously heard The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Blood and Wine may be released in June, but according to a new interview with CD Projekt RED, we could be seeing the upcoming expansion sooner than that.

CD Projekt RED’s quest designer Philipp Weber and PR manager Fabian Döhla were recently interviewed by German website GameStar regarding Blood and Wine. While the entire interview was conducted in German, Reddit user Pawel95 translated the interview, which allowed us to learn some more information regarding the expansion.

First off, the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Blood and Wine expansion doesn’t have a set release date yet, but CD Projekt RED believes it will release prior to the start of E3, which begins on June 14 and ends on June 16.

The size of Blood and Wine was also mentioned in the interview, which is said to be as large as all of the Skellige Islands combined in regards to its landmass. For those who don’t recall, Skellige Islands is one of the main regions in the game, and it was quite large.

Fans of Gwent will also want to keep tabs on the Blood and Wine expansion as it will introduce a new deck.

Hopefully we’ll hear more information regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Blood and Wine in the near future. In the meantime, be sure to check out some of its screenshots which were released just last week.
