Guardian, you can destroy the Prison of Elders. Bungie has foreseen this. It is your Destiny... April patch, that is!

On the eve of the long-awaited patch for Destiny: The Taken King, Bungie put together a video preview spelling out all the new features, gear, and other miscellanea you have to look forward to.

"We hear the community's call for new content," says Ryan Paradis, lead designer on the Live team over at Bungie. "With the April update, the Live team is excited to be able to bring new ways to play and experience Destiny."

Citing power as the centerpiece of Destiny (and any good video game, really), Bungie has zeroed in on ways to facilitate you killing all the things faster than ever before. The Light level has been raised to 335, and a host of new bounties and reworked Strikes await. In terms of swag, players on the PS4 version of the game will receive exclusive gear, and all players will be able to find Chroma equipment that glows different colors, Taken armor that includes a free emote, and numerous Exotic and Legendary items being bumped up to Year Two level.

Other changes include brand new bosses for Prison of Elders and a scorecard to monitor your progress and rewards.

Remember, the April update is free to Destiny: The Taken King.
