Mighty No. 9's Release Date Still Hasn't Been Announced

Oh, Mighty No. no.

10

Mighty No. 9 was supposedly being released this spring. Technically it's spring right now, yet we've not heard anything about the game coming out or even a concrete release date. It's a little bizarre, especially since Mighty No. 9's social streams, as GoNintendo points out, have been all but quiet since the last delay was announced. So what's going on?

Deep Silver doesn't have anything to report about the game, having issued a statement: “We have no comments at this time. You’ll be the first to know once we have new information to share.”

It's unclear at this point if the game is going to be hit with another delay, but it sure seems like that could be the case going forward. I'm still interested in trying the game out, but I'm losing interest as the days stretch on. Looks like it's back to Mega Man for a while!

What a weird thing to write an article about.

Hmm, inclined to agree. If they had announced another delay, that would be something... but

I think the last known ship date was March right? If that's so then I can understand the article.

Not at all. This is a super high profile Kickstarter from legitimate industry talent that has been delayed over and over again. It's a very good question.

Yeah but nothing happened. The story is just saying "hey guys, quick reminder, today is just the same as yesterday and the day before."

eh, its a highly anticipated game for a lot of people. they said spring 2016 and since its now officially spring itd be nice if they gave an update. Neogaf basically bumps their mighty no 9 thread every 2 weeks

It's odd, but I think it's good to tell us that the developer/publisher has held back on that info

Man, maybe they realized that visuals weren't even on par for an Unreal Engine 3 game in 2007 and are going back to the drawing board.

dude, it looks like a PSP game with some antialiasing. and not even a late gen psp game. That, and the art style didn't transfer over well at all.

Like there was any doubt that they wouldn't delay it again. I'm just waiting for the Cancelled announcement at this point.

Yeah, nothing would surprise me at this point. I'm a little heartbroken that this project has turned out so poorly.

I hope Igarashi and the Bloodstained team are watching and learning from all this.
