Dark Souls 3 gets its own wing eating contest in the UK

Think you can survive this challenge? If you do, there's a shiny, new PlayStation 4 in it for your gastrointestinal trouble.

Bandai Namco UK, SCEE, and MEATliquor have announced the Dark Souls Wings Challenge is coming next month.

The challenge will be available for UK residents to take part in from April 4th to April 29th. All you’ll need to do is visit a MEATliquor restaurant in order to take part in the challenge, which will have a portion of its twenty wings smothered in a quarter liter of chilli sauce. The wings will patch a punch, which is why the chef preparing it will be required to wear protective gloves, a mask, and goggles to protect them from the heat.

Participants are required a sign a waiver prior to taking part in the Dark Souls Wings Challenge and also need to wear protective gloves throughout the challenge. We take it all of that spiciness could do a number on your hands, especially if they get underneath your fingernails.

The winner with the fastest time at each restaurant will receive a PlayStation 4 along with a copy of Dark Souls Collector’s Edition. The person with the fastest time in all restaurants will receive the Prestige Edition, which includes a 40cm Lord of Cinder Figurine.

If you’re at least able to complete the challenge, you’ll earn yourself an exclusive “I SURVIVED” the Dark Souls Wings Challenge T-Shirt and your name will be entered into the Hall of Souls leaderboard at each restaurant.

Because video games.

Between this and their mobile game promotion, whichever agency is handling their advertising this time around is killing it.

I was just thinking to myself that I'm glad I don't live in the UK, because if I did, I would be obligated to at least try! It's worth it alone for the T-shirt. Curious how much this contest costs to enter.
