XSEED Games Announces Trails of Cold Steel II and Trails in the Sky The 3rd

So many trails it's starting to look like a nature preserve.

XSEED Games and Nihon Falcom are celebrating the five-year anniversary of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky with a bang. Two new entries in the Trails saga have been announced: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, and the final entry in the Trails in the Sky series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd.

For those that don't own the original Trails in the Sky, you can get it at 50% off and its sequel for 30% off on the PlayStation Store and various PC outlets. This deal lasts for the next week starting today, and they're absolutely a must-play for any fans of the jRPG genre.

The Trails series has been a great hit for publisher XSEED Games, and the English releases of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, have sold a combined 350,000 units. Additionally, the Trails series has been developer Nihon Falcom's most popular franchise in its 30+ year history. 

Look below for screens from the upcoming The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II due out this fall, and the logo for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd due out in 2017.
