Titanfall 2 release date announcement may be imminent according to GameStop

Prepare to be dropped into the world of Titanfall once again.

While we know Titanfall 2 will be a multiplatform game and will include a single-player campaign, we still don’t know when it’s launching. But one GameStop store may hint at its upcoming release date announcement.

A NeoGAF user spotted placeholder boxes for Titanfall 2 at his local GameStop location. The placeholder boxes simply have a black background with the game’s title on it and, for some strange reason, are sitting in the PlayStation 3 section of the store.

Real estate is extremely precious at GameStop stores as it can only fit so many games within its locations. This leads us to believe a release date announcement is imminent, which would cause GameStop customers to start pre-ordering Titanfall 2 now that these placeholder boxes are available.

We’ve reached out to EA and Respawn Entertainment for comment and will update our story once we receive a response.

This is a game I am excited to play for the potential Single Player campaign. Bring it on.

I hope they put in a real effort to develop a campaign this time around. The pre-release hype for the first TitanFall campaign made it sound like a epic experience but instead what we got was normal MP levels with a voice over track. The campaign for TF1 pretended to be more than it was and the players actions didn't alter any of the outcomes.

But the multiplayer was fantastic. Probably my favorite fps in the past few years.

Its one of the most refreshing in a long time. R6 Siege the more recent but that was more small team competitive. Titanfall's movement and variety was awesome.

I would have liked a more fleshed out campaign for sure but it's not a total loss given most shooters with great MP components have shitty SP campaigns.

I want Bad Company 3 to be made so shooters with good MP and SP stories can be great again.

Same ^^^ and I am super juiced that there will be a single player portion to the game this time, that is the best part.
