The Xbox One Backward Compatible Games List Grows Ever Larger

Still waiting on Space Giraffe, TBH.

If you're like me and have piles and piles of Xbox 360 games gathering dust because you don't have much use for them anymore, listen up. Microsoft has just announced a few additional games that are now supported with Xbox One as backward compatible titles today. Lucky you!

Joining the lineup of titles you can now play via your Xbox One are Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Lego Batman, Sam and Max: Beyond Time and Space, and Trials HD. Ooo-wee! That sure seems like a lot of fun times you're going to have!

Alan Wake's American Nightmare would be a better choice if it weren't such a pale imitation of the original game, with its shoddy story and mechanics. I'm happy about the rest of the games though, especially since there are still more to come. Before long there'll be enough on Xbox One to make it actually worth packing away my R2-D2 version Xbox 360 and using only one Microsoft console in the living room. Almost. But not quite.

      1) anyone who buys quantum break will also get american nightmare.. if you preorder QB, you'll also get the original alan wake- which implies that it will be coming to BC soon!

      2) people were able to play RDR on BC last week (or earlier this week?). turns out MS had been testing the game's compatibility and had accidentally set it to 'public' instead of 'testing'.. so hopefully that one will be coming to BC too!

There are like maybe two or three games that need to be added to the back compatibility before I can totally pack away my Xbox 360. Those being RDR, Crackdown, and maybe the Mortal Kombat 2011.
