For its 10th anniversary, Nintendo plans on giving Mother 3 a Western release, according to sources close to the company.

Eurogamer reports not only sources close to Nintendo, but also its own sources, have confirmed Mother 3 will be released in the West on the Wii U Virtual Console. One of its Nintendo tipsters shared Mother 3 was in its final stages of localization at Nintendo of Europe not too long ago, while another tipster Emily Rogers wrote, “Don't be surprised if Nintendo celebrates a game's 10th anniversary this year” along with a picture of Kumatora from Mother.

Nintendo appears to be giving more attention to the Mother series as it released the original game on the Wii U Virtual Console just last year. Mother 2 was released as Earthbound for the Super NES, so a Mother 3 release on its 10th anniversary would certainly be a nice treat for fans of the series.
