NVIDIA has announced its SHIELD Android TV will be getting a major update in the form of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Android  6.0 Marshmallow will bring Adoptable Storage to the set-top-box, which will help in allowing users to supersize your storage capabilities. When adding an SD card, USB drive or external hard drive, SHIELD Android TV will recognize it and treat it as a new piece of internal memory.

The startup process will also be enhanced as there will be even fewer steps to take in order to launch your apps, movies, music, and games.

In addition to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, NVIDIA has launched recent updates that allow SHIELD Android TV users to take better control of the Recommendation Row, as well as edit the apps that can push suggested content. Users can also re-order their apps and games in the download section, or have them appear in order based on when they were used.
