Sony will be launching the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta several hours prior to its previously-announced December 4 date. The beta will now kick off at 12pm ET / 9am PT on December 3rd exclusively for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection owners.

The Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta is expected to weigh in at 7GB in size and will only have a fragment of the full game’s content. Participants will be able to check out a total of two maps as they play team deathmatch, with the full game expected to have a total of eight new maps at launch.

Even though the beta will be limited in the game modes participants can play, at least they’ll be able to experience the new Mystical Items and Sidekicks that are being introduced in Uncharted 4’s multiplayer modes.
