For science. For sports. For science AND sports!

Sports and science are two worlds that often don't mix. (Not directly, anyway. The ESPN show, Sport Science is actually quite fascinating.) But that's what's about to happen, now that discarded testing items from Valve's Portal are making their way into Rocket League.

Starting tomorrow, players will be able to pick up the following items as drops:

  • Cake (Topper)
  • Conversion Gel (Rocket Trail)
  • Propulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
  • Repulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
  • Aperture Laboratories (Antenna)
  • Cake Sticker (Antenna)
  • Companion Cube (Antenna)
  • Personality Core (Antenna)
  • PotatOS (Antenna)

Players can earn any of these items, regardless of whether they win or lose a Rocket League session. It's all a luck of the draw. Look for these free items to make their way into Rocket League tomorrow. You monster.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
