Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be re-released on 3DS in February

To help celebrate 20 years of Pokemon, Nintendo is taking the original games and re-relasing them on 3DS in February.

It's been a wild ride for Pokemon, which turns 20 years old next year. So what better way to celebrate the anniversary than by releasing the original games?

Nintendo announced that Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow will all be made available as digital downloads on Nintendo 3DS on February 27. The games will be updated to allow for online battles and trades through the 3DS online infrastructure.
