Last Monday marked the trailer that made the world gather around the television for halftime of the Giants/Eagles Monday Night Football game. It was the reveal of the newest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And while it's looking incredible, it still leaves a pivotal question of how exactly Star Wars has reached this point. The Battle of Jakku is supposed to answer some of these questions and that will partially be covered in Star Wars Battlefront. Today, EA and DICE released a quick teaser trailer for the DLC map.
The Battle of Jakku takes place shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi and sees the Rebels engage with Imperial holdouts, following the fall of Emperor Palpatine. The conflict leaves the planet devastated, as indicated by The Force Awakens. This DLC gives players a chance to battle on Jakku and see the planet as it was before this conflict left it ravaged.
The teaser is all too brief, but it can be seen below. Star Wars Battlefront arrives on November 17, while the Battle of Jakku will be free to all players on December 8.
