Matterfall is the next action game from the creators of Resogun

The fight against chaos takes a greater sci-fi twist, as soldiers can use crystals to summon new weapons, objects, and platforms at-will. This is the world of Matterfall.

Developer Housemarque has been right at home with Sony platforms, especially the PlayStation 4. But now the studio appears ready to move on from Resogun and focus on its next project, an action game called Matterfall.

Matterfall takes place in a sci-fi world, in which crystal matter creates heavy weaponry that can be summoned on the fly. In addition to blasting apart enemies, players can also unleash wings to take flight and create platforms at will for better positioning.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
