It's been a long while since the folks at Campo Santo first came together to announce their debut game, Firewatch. But with the fire still raging on, it's finally time to confront the flames head-on. The studio announced that the game would officially release on February 9, just narrowly missing its projected 2015 release window.

Firewatch follows park ranger Henry, a lookout investigating the mystery of some missing park-goers. As he runs across the wilderness with only his colleague at the other end of a two-way radio, the mystery starts to thicken with and Henry finds himself needing to make some crucial choices that could affect him, his relationships, and the park.

The most recent trailer was released back at E3 2015, which you can find below. Firewatch will release simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 4.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
