Marvel Heroes 2015 begins adding 'All-New, All-Different Marvel' content tomorrow

The Marvel Universe is changing and Marvel Heroes 2015 is looking to keep up with the changing times, with developer Gazillion anouncing that it will add new content based on the upcoming comic book changes tomorrow.

The Marvel Universe is about to change forever. (Alright, it's about to change forever again.) This time, the big change sees the comic book universe changing over to the 'All-New, All-Different Marvel,' with the comics fast-forwarding eight months after the events of the recent Secret Wars event, an event that isn't set to finish until December. Nevertheless, Gazillion is looking to keep up with these changes and is offering up new content based on the All-New, All-Different Marvel for Marvel Heroes 2015 starting tomorrow.

One of the biggest additions will be the arrival of Spider-Gwen as a Team-Up partner. For those unfamiliar, this is an alternate universe version of Gwen Stacy, in which she actually became that universe's Spider-Man, while Peter Parker became the Lizard and was killed, putting a huge twist on the traditional Peter/Gwen dynamic that has been in place for decades. Spider-Gwen immediately resonated with readers and has become one of Marvel's hottest new titles.

Marvel Heroes 2015 will also add a new Captain Marvel costume, based on Carol Danvers' new look that's set to debut soon in Captain Marvel #1. The changes actually won't stop there. Carol Danvers will no longer be "Ms. Marvel" in the game, but will now go by the Captain Marvel moniker on a permanent basis. The new costume will now be her default.

Still looking for more? How about the new Thor? Comic book readers found out recently that the new Thor floating around the Marvel Universe is actually long-time supporting character Jane Foster. Now she'll become playable with tomorrow's update, with a new costume. The new Thor will be voiced by veteran voice actress Jennifer Hale.

Other additions include costume changes for Wolverine and the Scarlet Witch, which will reflect the big changes in their books. The former will change Wolverine to the former X-23, who has taken up the mantle in the comics in the wake of Logan's death. The Scarlet Witch costume will reflect the one that appears in her upcoming solo series.

More All-New, All-Different Marvel changes will hopefully be in the pipeline, given that Marvel Heroes 2015 has been great about staying faithful to the books. Look for more changes to come soon as the game formally transitions to Marvel Heroes 2016.
