Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 includes 'Realistic' difficulty and new Dead Ops Arcade

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 may be the hardest game in the series now that a new 'Realistic' difficulty has been discovered. In addition to that, we've learned Dead Ops Arcade will be making its return when the game is released.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will feature a “Realistic” difficulty setting and will mark the return of Dead Ops Arcade.

According to the game’s trophy list, players will receive trophies for completing certain sections of the game’s story while playing in either Hardened, Veteran, or Realistic mode. This is the first time a Call of Duty game has had a difficulty setting beyond the Veteran mode, which already was quite difficult on its own. In fact, the No One Will Believe You trophy is only rewarded if a player completes the campaign on Realistic, making us believe this will be an insanely hard mode.

If we had to make any guesses, we’d say Realistic difficulty mode would include no health regen or ammo counts. We can’t help but wonder if one-hit kills will also be available in Realistic mode, meaning players need to be extremely careful when they’re on the battlefield.

Call of Duty: Dead Ops Arcade will also be making its return in Black Ops 3, called Dead Ops Arcade 2. The original Dead Ops Arcade mode was a top-down shooter that allowed players to experience the battlefield from a completely new perspective, while also shooting up hundreds of zombies. The game mode was absent from Black Ops 2, but it appears to be making its official return in Black Ops 3.

Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners of Black Ops 3 should probably disregard the inclusion of Realistic difficulty mode considering their version will only include both multiplayer and zombies modes. It's a shame because the game's story looks rather interesting based on a recently released trailer.
