The closed technical test for Battleborn will go live soon, which is why Gearbox Software has launched the sign ups for the upcoming event today. Those who wish to participate will need to login with their SHiFT account, which you probably already have if you played any of the Borderlands games beyond Borderlands 2.
The purpose of this closed technical test is to test various aspects of the game and its online infrastructure. Gearbox reveals there will be a series of closed technical tests taking place to prepare for Battleborn’s release on February 9, 2016. Hopefully that means more chances for those who aren’t accepted in the first few waves to partake in the technical test in the coming weeks.
Gearbox notes participants are selected on a number of criteria based on the needs for testing, which includes platform preference, location, and availability.
We recently held a Shack Asks with the Battleborn devs a few weeks back which helped us understand even more of the game. The developer Q&A taught us about the inspiration behind Battleborn, how Gearbox balances characters, and more. Feel free to head over to the recap of that particular Shack Asks feature to learn more about Battleborn.
Head on over to the Battleborn website to sign up for the closed technical test.
