It's been easy for some to ignore the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta news, especially since it was originally set to be open to a select number of people, mainly those that pre-ordered the November release. However, Treyarch has decided to open the door to everyone, announcing that the Black Ops 3 beta is now open to all PlayStation 4 owners.

This comes hours after Treyarch upped the level cap to 34. The developer also added the Uplink game mode, the new Stronghold map, and the mechanical Specialist known as Reaper.

The PlayStation 4 beta will run through the weekend, with Xbox One and PC users set to jump in next week. For more about the new Black Ops 3 Specialists, Show Important's Joe Tirado put together a video, which you can watch below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
