Update: Microsoft has updated its Xbox Live Status page to reflect services are returning to normal.

Original Story:

Microsoft appears to be having issues with Xbox Live's servers as its Xbox Live Status page notes both social and gaming are limited for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Mcrosoft reports the outages started at 2:07PM CST today saying they're "aware of the issue and hard at work to find a fix." The services that appear to be affected are joining other Xbox Live members in online games and managing friends lists and tracking what friends are doing across the service. That means if you were planning on playing Destiny or a multiplayer match of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you're currently out of luck.

Thankfully, it appears no other services are affected by this outage as you should be able to purchase and use content, browse the Internet, and enjoy your TV, music, and video content.

We've reached out to Microsoft to learn what the reason behind this outage is and we'll update this story accordingly.
