Update: Bungie has now resolved this issue. Get back out there and save the galaxy, or something.

Original story:

Bungie has announced Destiny servers appear to be having issues this evening across all platforms.

The news comes directly from Bungie who says they're "aware of issues impacting some players' ability to sign in to Destiny on all platforms." As of now, they haven't disclosed what the issue could be nor how long Destiny players can expect this issue to last for.

Bungie has been having quite the time keeping Destiny’s servers online as it appears they have been having issues on a regular basis. Last week, PlayStation users were unable to log into Destiny for some time while lengthy server maintenance periods took place earlier this month that lead players to be unable to play for several hours.

With the upcoming release of The Taken King, we can't help but feel a little concerned over Bungie's inability to keep Destiny's servers online without running into an issue on a semi-regular basis. We have a feeling if they're unable to keep Destiny's servers online once The Taken King is released, there's going to be an Internet riot somewhere.
