EA Sports' NHL 16 gets series' first-ever Hockey League beta next week

Best of all, NHL 15 owners can get in on the beta as soon as it starts.

EA Sports has announced it will be releasing the first-ever Hockey League Beta for NHL 15 owners to give them a taste of what’s to come in NHL 16 when it releases on September 15.

The online team mode has been reimagined to offer a new player class system for a more competitive and balanced experience on the ice. The team’s skills and abilities will be a determining factor in who wins and loses.

The limited-access beta will begin next week on July 30 and ends on August 6 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners. To access the beta, NHL 15 owners can download the NHL 16 EASHL beta from within the game’s main menu.

Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will also be able to get in on the beta as long as they upgrade to a new console through a limited distribution of beta access codes.
