Ubisoft is looking to craft quite a tale for its next Assassin's Creed game. So far, we've been introduced to Jacob and Evie Frye, twin Assassins looking to wrest control of Industrial Revolution-era London from the Templars and their gangs of street toughs. Now Ubisoft is telling a little more of Jacob's story with a new animated short from F. Gary Gray, director of the upcoming Straight Outta Compton.

Simply titled "The Syndicate," this animated short offers a backdrop of the current state of London during the Industrial Revolution. It mostly follows Jacob Frye, as he recruits his droogs to help bring out his inner "Clockwork Orange" for some good old-fashioned ultraviolence.

Those interessovated in something quite horrorshow can smot the full video below. Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set to release on October 23.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
