Tekken 7 public arcade test locations announced

About half a dozen Dave & Buster's and Round 1 arcades will be home to the first public locations tests for the Tekken 7 arcade game, which are set to begin later this month.

July is a big month for fighting games, with EVO 2015 set to start in just 10 days. Among the games on the docket is Tekken 7, a game that has yet to make its way to North American shores. However, Bandai Namco is now looking to offer a public test in select arcade locations across the country.

According to the Tekken Facebook page (via Avoiding the Puddle), Tekken 7 will hit several Dave & Buster's and Round 1 arcade locations. The locations include:

  • Dave and Buster's in New York, NY
  • Dave and Buster's in Dallas, TX
  • Dave and Buster's in Milpitas, CA
  • Round 1 in City of Industry, CA
  • Round 1 in Tukwila, WA
  • Round 1 in Bloomingdale, IL

Additional details will be revealed in the near future. The Tekken 7 arcade location tests are set to kick off later in July.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I never understood the whole interplay of the Tekken cast. Heihachi is a mob boss of sorts who somehow finds the time to be a super badass iron fist motherfucker... and he has a son Kazuya who is also some sort of arrogant bastard who keeps trying to "settle things" with his father Heihachi (since Tekken 1)

And then Kazuya had a son Jin who is sort of pushed to be the main character from Tekken 3 onward but is way too boring, so they went back and gave Kazuya devil wings and eyebeam powers (wtf) to spice shit up. Somewhere along the line they also gave Jin angel wings and powers but no one cares about him (he's boring).

Now we have Tekken 7, where Kazuya is still trying to "settle things" with his dad, who c'mon, isn't all that bad. He's a hardass kung-fu ki wearing motherfucker. What's everyone's beef with him?

I run a wiki for Tekken (www.tekkenpedia.com) and I get called out all the time for having inaccurate information on it. The problem is that the universe is totally fucked from so many ret-cons. I wouldn't even bother trying to make sense of it.

Is spamming the Eddie Gordo character still a viable tactic?
