Update 2: The DriveClub Twitter account notes that the PS Plus version's post was premature, but it is indeed on its way soon.

Update: Well, that was a fun couple of minutes. Sony has pulled the DriveClub PlayStation Plus edition from the PlayStation Store. So apparently, it is, once again, in limbo.

Original story: DriveClub released late last year, but there was one point where a special PlayStation Plus edition of the game was set to release alongside the main retail version of the game. Then that version was delayed. Then it was delayed again... for a significantly longer period.

Almost eight months later, however, DriveClub PlayStation Plus edition has suddenly surfaced. Not only is it alive, but it is now available in the PlayStation Store. For those that need a reminder of what this version of the game contains, it includes all main features (including online multiplayer and challenges), access to all 13 tracks in India, 15 cars for your garage, and the option to create custom races.

DriveClub got off to something of a rough start, but has shown steady improvement since its release. Anyone curious as to our thoughts of Evolution's racer can check out our original review.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
