Daybreak Games announced earlier this month the long-awaited release of PlanetSide 2 would be taking place on June 23. Today, Daybreak Games’ president John Smedley has revealed the game will available to download on the PlayStation Network at 1pm PT / 4pm ET.

The game is currently available in the EU PSN store, although the US PSN store updates at a completely different time than it does in that region.

PlanetSide 2 has been in development for quite some time. We went hands-on with the PlayStation 4 version of the game nearly a year ago and we found its controls translated well to the DualShock 4 while also being visually on-par with the PC version. And at approximately 1pm PT, we'll all finally be able to jump into the game. If you're worried about more experienced players taking advantage to newcomers, you shouldn't worry about it too much considering the PlayStation 4 version is aiming to help new recruits in a number of ways.
